Our Teachers

Jessica Lynne Trese
Founder & Owner
C-IAYT, Yoga Alliance E-RYT & Reiki Master
Jessica is a devoted student of yoga. She has seen the powerfully healing impact yoga has had on her life and is passionate about sharing it with others in a way that is possible for them. Jessica is committed to practicing the Ashtanga Yoga method, as taught in KPJAYI, this method is deeply rooted in the student-teacher relationship, known as parampara.
Jessica began teaching yoga in 2007, and the daily practice of Ashtanga yoga provides her with the healing, uplifting, and insightful benefits of a committed yoga practice. In her teaching, Jessica uses gentle encouragement to guide students along a path of healing self-discovery through yoga.
Jessica has traveled to India to study at KPJAYI with R. Sharath Jois in Mysore, India many times and was blessed with the Authorization to teach Asthanga Yoga in 2013. Jessica is grateful to be a part of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage and dedicates her life to learning and sharing the Ashtanga Yoga Method. Ashtanga’s tradition inspires Jessica to cultivate peace, inspiration, dedication, devotion and self surrender on and off the yoga mat.
Jessica has a Bachelor’s and Master Degree in Business Management and is grateful to be able to combine her academic studies with her true passion by teaching yoga and managing her own business. Jessica began teaching in the Tampa Bay area of Florida in 2007, and she currently teaches in the beautiful mountains of Cedar City, Utah. Jessica frequently travels to study the traditions of yoga with many Certified and Authorized Ashtanga teachers. Jessica received her 200 RYT at Anala Yoga in 2007 and graduated from SYMT’s Yoga Therapy Program in 2022.

Shanna White
Yoga Teacher
Shanna she started practicing Ashtanga yoga traditionally in 2009 while seeking balance in the hospitality/events industry in Orlando. Completed her first 200 hr Ashtanga Teacher Training at Urban Ashtanga and then completed a one year Ashtanga Apprenticeship with Authorized Teacher, Krista Shirley. After completing, she began teaching her own Mysore program for 12 years.
In 2011, mesmerized by the internal transformation the method had given her, she sold all of her belongings and made her first of 6 yoga pilgrimages to Mysore, India to study at the source.
Studying with Sharathji and Saraswati taught her discipline, humility, trust, patience and deeply embedded the importance of parampara and that which has come before us.
She was Authorized by Sharath Jois at the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Yoga Institute in 2016 and entrusted to carry on the lineage and tradition as it had been taught to her. (Parampara) Promising, “No circus”
She hopes to continue to share the love and light this method cultivates in Sharathjis honor.

Joyce Mattioli
Yoga Teacher
Joyce has been practicing yoga in one way or another for as long as she can remember– from stretching before, during, and after sports events, to watching TV and Tai Bo workouts, to sharing foundational yogic principles and methods with fellow teachers at school; and as far as sitting for breath and stretching before exams in English class. Her first, “Studio” class came in 2011 at USF where Joyce found an early morning class with an instructor who taught a combination of yoga and floor pilates. This class supported Joyce in a smooth transition from high school to college, as she was used to using movement and music as outlets through activities such as marching band and sports.
She quickly realized that she found a movement style she could commit to and enjoy. Moving on from the fast pace of high school sports and activities, to the calm and mindful practices of yoga, Joyce has found a home in yoga and has committed to life-long learning. Joyce completed and earned her Yoga Teacher certification in October 2023. And has taught more than 350 hours of yoga and meditation. Joyce’s hope for the future is to not only gain her 300 hr RYT certification and to train to become a Yoga Therapist, but to return to University in order to combine her training in yoga with a profession as a Mental Health Counselor.

Leah McAllister
Yoga Teacher
Leah McAllister here, I have been practicing and leading Ashtanga yoga since 2007. I received my 200hr RYT in 2009 and have led a variety of classes including young children, seniors, festival yoga & mobility for CrossFit athletes. Jessica Lynne was my first Mysore practice teacher over a decade ago.
I am a true believer of the therapeutic benefits of Ashtanga yoga and I believe that regular practice has a sneaky way of teaching you ALL 8 limbs of yoga.
Ashtanga yoga can be as challenging or as restorative as you need. It encourages a beginners mindset and personal responsibility, but mostly breath.
I am always deeply honored to share a practice that has been healing, empowering, humbling & grounding for me.
You can expect philosophy tidbits and Dharma talk during my class.
After all, Asana is just one part of the path.
Come take practice!!

Kim. Michelle Coakley
Yoga Teacher
Kim Michelle was introduced to yoga at a young age through Karate and Dance. At 16 she took her official first yoga class, which planted the seed for a life filled with ever-deepening desire to “attain” yoga.
In 2010 KM received her first 200hr. YTTC from Anala Yoga with Ally Ford in Clearwater, FL. She began to teach immediately in the Clearwater area and then moved to Costa Rica where she continued to teach and practice.
In 2013 KM travelled to India where she studied with the acclaimed teacher, Dr. Noah McKenna and received 400 hrs. YTTC. She also completed Thai Massage Training 1 and 2 from Sunshine Network School as well as Traditional Mysore painting intensive with Master Artist, MS Anand, and Vedanta Studies with James Swartz author of “How to Attain Enlightenment”.
While in India KM visited temples everyday and was inspired by the spirit of devotion present in Indian culture. This led to her fascination with Hindu/Buddhist Goddess archetypes. To dive deeper, KM started mentoring with Sophia Thom in 2017 and joined Temple Body Arts Mystery School in 2020. This year-long mentorship enriched her spiritual practices and opened up new channels to explore within her practices and teachings.
Kim Michelle is now qualified to offer a variety of services including meditation, embodiment journeys, art classes, Mysore style yoga, Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga classes and workshops.
Kim Michelle is also a professional artist. Her art is largely influenced by yogic and spiritual themes. You can view her work at http://www.kimmichelle.com

Cathi Hodge
Cathi first stepped into an Ashtanga class in 2002, sparking a curiosity that never fully left. After years of intermittent practice, a knee injury took her off the mat, but in 2018 she found her way back—this time with a renewed dedication. Since then, she has built a consistent Ashtanga practice, learning through both growth and injuries, and discovering the importance of listening
to her body.
Currently completing Ashtanga Academy’s 500-hour teacher training, Cathi teaches with
authenticity and humility, showing up as both a student and a guide. She values community,
prioritizes student safety, and brings curiosity, compassion, and humor into her classes. Her hope is to make the practice both challenging and fun, encouraging students to learn about themselves with honesty and care on the mat.
